Letter of demand for an unpaid invoice (Australia)

Australian letter of demand template for freelancers and small businesses, plus where to file a small claim in each state.

In Australia a letter of demand is the normal step before a small claim. Late fees or interest apply only if agreed in your terms. Small claims are heard by state tribunals or local courts, for example NCAT (NSW), VCAT (VIC), QCAT (QLD) or the Magistrates Court, with limits that vary by state.
