For designers: a calm reminder that final source files (AI, Figma, SVG) are released once the invoice is paid, without sounding like a hostage note.
“The longer and softer you make it the more it reads like you think you're being unreasonable for wanting to get paid.” This one is short and direct, with no “sorry to bother you”.
The design was approved, the client is happy, and now the invoice is late. Holding the final source files is usually your strongest (and fairest) lever, if your terms say files transfer on payment. State it as a process, not a threat.
